Key Responsibilities:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP FI-AR Consultant to play a key role during the build phase of a Greenfield S/4HANA implementation.
• The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering robust Accounts Receivable processes aligned with business requirements and S/4HANA best practices. The role requires strong expertise in end-to-end AR processes, with a focus on incoming payments, direct debit, clearing, write-offs, tax determination, and open item migration.
• Key Responsibilities 1. Solution Design Configuration - Lead the detailed design and configuration of SAP S/4HANA FI-AR processes. - Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design. - Ensure alignment with S/4HANA standard functionality (e.g., Business Partner approach, Universal Journal - ACDOCA). - Collaborate with integration teams (SD, FI-GL, Treasury, Tax).
• 2. Incoming Payments Payment Methods - Design and configure Incoming Payment processes: - Bank statement processing (EBS, CAMT, MT940) - Lockbox and manual postings - Define and configure incoming payment methods and payment media. - Manage automatic clearing rules and posting logic. - Support integration with cash application tools (if applicable).
• 3. Direct Debit Forms - Configure Direct Debit processes (SEPA/non-SEPA). - Design and support generation of: - Direct Debit Pre-notification Forms - Interest Calculation Forms - Work with forms technologies: - Adobe Forms / Smart Forms / SAP Script (depending on landscape) - Ensure compliance with regulatory and banking requirements.
• 4. Payment Differences, Write-Off Reason Codes - Define and configure: - Tolerance groups - Reason codes for payment differences - Automatic and manual write-off logic - Design business rules for: - Partial payments - Residual items - Charge-offs and recoveries
• 5. Write-Off / Write-Back Contras Workflow - Configure and manage: - Write-off and write-back processes - Contra postings (adjustments between invoices) - Design and implement: - Approval workflows (Flexible Workflow / SAP BTP Workflow) - Ensure proper audit trail and compliance controls.
• 6. AR Clearing Interest Calculation - Configure AR clearing processes: - Automatic clearing (F.13) - Manual clearing (F-32) - Design interest calculation: - Interest indicators and calculation rules - Posting and reporting of interest - Ensure alignment with customer agreements and legal requirements.
• 7. Migration of AR Open Items - Support data migration activities: - Extraction, transformation, and load of AR open items - Validation and reconciliation (legacy vs S/4) - Work with: execute data validation strategies 8. Tax Determination Sales Account Determination - Configure: - Tax determination (VAT/GST, jurisdictional taxes) - Integration with SD pricing and FI postings - Maintain and validate: - Revenue account determination (VKOA) - Integration of AR with GL accounts - Collaborate with tax and compliance teams.
• 9. Testing Quality Assurance - Prepare and execute: - Unit testing - Integration testing (SIT) - User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - Identify, track, and resolve defects and gaps. - Ensure end-to-end process validation across modules 10. Documentation Knowledge Transfer - Produce high-quality: - Functional design documents (FDD) - Configuration documents - Test scripts - Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to business and support teams.
• Required Skills Experience Core Expertise - 8+ years of SAP FI experience with strong focus on AR - Proven experience in S/4HANA Greenfield implementations - Deep knowledge of: - Incoming payments and clearing -
• Direct debit processes - Write-offs and dispute handling - AR migration methodologies S/4HANA Knowledge - Experience with: - Business Partner (Customer/Vendor Integration) - Fiori Apps for AR - Universal Journal (ACDOCA) - Familiarity with S/4HANA simplifications in FI Integration Expertise -
• Strong integration knowledge with: - SD (order-to-cash) - Banking / Treasury - Tax engines (einvoicing) Soft Skills - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - Ability to lead workshops and drive decisions - Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail - Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
