Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Job Title: Senior Cyber Security/Information Security Engineer
Location: Washington, DC / Remote
Duration: 12+ Months

Note: Candidate should have working experience with any Transportation client 

Special Skillset:
Create automated workflows, playbooks, and integrations in SOAR platform.
Integrate security and IT systems through APIs and connectors.
Optimize Risk triage, escalation, and remediation processes.
Maintain governance, documentation, and change controls for SOAR automations.
Monitor automation effectiveness and identify opportunities for further efficiency gains.
Conduct technical discovery sessions with stakeholders.
Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
Develop functional and non-functional requirements.
Create user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation opportunities.
Build custom SOAR widgets
Develop custom forms, dashboards, reports, and user interfaces.
Optimize application performance and user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
Integrate security tools, cloud platforms, CMDBs, ticketing systems, and enterprise applications.
Develop error handling, monitoring, and logging capabilities.
Create integration documentation and support procedures.
Support compliance and governance initiatives.
Implement data validation and quality controls.
Build integrations between SaaS, cloud, and on-premises systems.
Normalize and enrich operational and security datasets.
Develop reporting and analytics datasets.
Optimize pipeline performance and scalability.
 
Justification:  
As the organization continues to expand its digital footprint, regulatory obligations, and data estate across Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud applications, dedicated Microsoft Purview resources are required to ensure effective data governance, compliance, information protection, and risk management.
Two contract Purview Engineers will provide the operational capacity and specialized expertise necessary to reduce compliance risk, protect sensitive data, and maximize the value of existing Microsoft investments.
