Job Description

Avanciers are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead onsite execution of electrical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will oversee field engineering activities, coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and deliver projects on schedule while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite technical execution of electrical infrastructure projects from installation through commissioning and project closeout.
  • Coordinate field engineering activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards.
  • Serve as the primary onsite technical lead, conducting inspections to verify installation quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Manage field documentation, including punch lists, inspection reports, safety walkdowns, checklists, and project records.
  • Ensure compliance with all site safety procedures, including LOTO, PPE requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for electrical, controls, and basic mechanical systems as required.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, and cross-functional teams to maintain project schedules and deliverables.
  • Drive project closeout activities, customer acceptance, and final documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction or field project management experience, preferably in electrical systems or power infrastructure.
  • Completion of trade school, technical college, or equivalent journeyman experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
  • Working knowledge of ATS, UPS, switchgear, commissioning, and EPMS/SCADA systems.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, trade labor, and multidisciplinary field teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading matrixed project teams.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar software.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
