Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced PeopleSoft Financials Consultant with extensive expertise in PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, specifically General Ledger (GL) and Commitment Control (KK).

This resource will primarily support the functional team, but must have advanced technical expertise in PeopleSoft development, troubleshooting, integrations, and technical analysis. The consultant will work across financial modules, analyze complex production issues, support enhancements and upgrades, and lead functional and technical solution discussions.

Experience supporting large government enterprise PeopleSoft environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical expertise in PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, with a strong focus on General Ledger (GL) and Commitment Control (KK).
• Work with ledger configurations, budget structures, accounting rules, and transactional processing frameworks.
• Analyze and troubleshoot PeopleSoft issues across functional and technical layers.
• Support cross-module integrations involving:
• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Purchasing
• Billing
• Travel & Expense
• Analyze PeopleCode, Application Engine programs, and other PeopleSoft technical objects to identify root causes, customizations, retrofit requirements, and upgrade conflicts.
• Perform hands-on PeopleSoft development and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain Application Engine programs.
• Utilize Application Designer for development, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Work with PeopleTools, Integration Broker, Web Services, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs.
• Develop and maintain inbound and outbound interfaces with banking systems and other external applications.
• Work with PeopleSoft tables and data structures for research, analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain PS Queries.
• Support SOA and other file-transfer technologies.
• Provide production support, including issue triage, defect resolution, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
• Lead functional design discussions and technical solution walkthroughs.
• Support project planning and coordinate technical and functional activities.
• Develop enhancement documentation covering requirements, configuration, impacted tables and code, testing conditions, business risks, and alternative solutions.
• Support comprehensive end-to-end PeopleSoft lifecycle testing.
• Participate in testing processes including vouchering, purchasing, GL journal processing/posting, accounts receivable, and related financial business processes.
• Define test sequencing, data staging, and end-to-end business process validation.
• Support PeopleSoft upgrades and identify potential retrofit and customization impacts.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support as required.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience with PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, particularly General Ledger and Commitment Control.
• Strong understanding of PeopleSoft financial business processes and configurations.
• Extensive experience with cross-module PeopleSoft integrations.
• Hands-on PeopleSoft development experience.
• Strong experience with PeopleCode and Application Engine.
• Proficiency with PeopleSoft Application Designer.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleTools and Integration Broker.
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services/API integrations.
• Strong PS Query skills.
• Experience analyzing PeopleSoft technical objects and customizations.
• Experience with PeopleSoft lifecycle and end-to-end functional testing.
• Experience with production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead functional and technical discussions.
• Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call support.
