SAP Ariba Solution Architect

The Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide procurement transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining end-to-end SAP Ariba solution architecture, ensuring seamless integration with SAP and non-SAP systems, and aligning procurement platforms with business and enterprise architecture strategies.

Your responsibilities:

• Define and own the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP Ariba transformation programmes.
• Lead solution design workshops with business, procurement, finance, and IT stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable SAP Ariba solutions.
• Design and govern integrations between SAP Ariba, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP/CPI, and third-party applications.
• Produce high-level and detailed solution design documents, architecture diagrams, and integration specifications.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks.
• Provide architecture leadership and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support business case development, roadmap planning, and future-state procurement architecture initiatives.
• Collaborate with implementation partners, project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and solution assurance activities.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Extensive experience as an SAP Ariba Solution Architect delivering large-scale procurement and sourcing transformations.
• Deep expertise across the SAP Ariba Suite , including:
• Ariba Buying
• Ariba Sourcing
• Ariba Contracts
• Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP)
• Guided Buying
• Strong understanding of Procurement, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, and Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes.
• Proven experience integrating SAP Ariba with:
• SAP ECC
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP BTP / SAP CPI
• External third-party platforms
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, cloud technologies, security, and integration governance.
• Experience creating architecture artefacts, solution blueprints, and integration strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior business and technical leaders.
• Experience leading architecture governance and solution assurance activities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• SAP Ariba Solution Architect or relevant SAP certifications.
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services and integration frameworks.
• Knowledge of SAP MDG, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, or related SAP products.
• Experience with supplier onboarding, supplier risk management, and procurement analytics solutions.
• Exposure to multi-country or global procurement transformation programmes.
• Experience working within regulated enterprise environments.
• Understanding of Agile, SAFe, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with procurement best practices and digital procurement innovation initiatives.

Experience developing target operating models and procurement transformation roadmaps.
