Mainframe Consultant (Developer or Lead)

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced z/OS Connect Developer or Lead with strong expertise in mainframe modernization and API integration.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience exposing COBOL and CICS applications as RESTful services using z/OS Connect while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using z/OS Connect.
• Integrate and expose COBOL, CICS, and Db2 applications as modern API services.
• Develop and maintain API definitions using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Build and support CICS Web Services and enterprise integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and integration issues across mainframe and distributed environments.
• Collaborate with application teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable API solutions.
• Participate in API modernization, deployment, testing, and production support.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor team members when required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience delivering enterprise API integration solutions in a mainframe environment.
• Strong understanding of modernizing legacy applications using z/OS Connect.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
