Mobile Mechanical Plumber - Birmingham - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Public Sector/Education CBW Staffing Solutions are currently hiring for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Plumber for our facilities management client’s mobile team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems maintenance and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Mechanical Plumber, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of the end-client’s mechanical infrastructure.
This is a mobile opportunity, covering Birmingham and surrounding areas. Package:
Competitive salary of up to £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)<br />Van & fuel card supplied<br />Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)<br />Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)<br />25 days annual leave plus bank holidays<br />Generous workplace pension scheme<br />Training, development & progression opportunitiesResponsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, pump systems, air compressors, water chillers, plumbing, boilers, and other related equipment.<br />Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.<br />Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.<br />Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.<br />Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.<br />Assist in the procurement of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance tasks.<br />Provide technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.<br />Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and provide timely resolutions.Requirements:
Qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.<br />Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the facilities management industry.<br />Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and boilers.<br />Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.<br />Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and procedures.<br />Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.<br />If you are a dedicated Mechanical Plumber looking for a rewarding career opportunity, please apply with your full CV or contact Amy O'Shea at CBW Staffing Solutions
