Workday Security & Workday Extend Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Security & Workday Extend Consultant to design, implement, and support Workday security solutions while developing custom applications using Workday Extend. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Workday Security administration, business process security, domain security policies, integration security, and Workday Extend application development. This role will work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative Workday solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Security

• Design, configure, and maintain Workday security architecture, including:
  • Security Groups
  • Domain Security Policies
  • Business Process Security Policies
  • Role-Based Security
  • User-Based Security
• Perform security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Workday security-related issues.
• Support Workday releases by assessing security impacts and implementing required changes.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to define security requirements.
• Create and maintain security documentation, procedures, and governance standards.
• Support Workday integrations by configuring and maintaining integration system security.

Workday Extend Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend.
• Develop user-friendly solutions leveraging Workday Extend frameworks and APIs.
• Integrate Workday Extend applications with Workday HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits, and Financials modules.
• Develop and maintain Workday Orchestrate and custom business process solutions where applicable.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to Workday development best practices.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing Workday Extend applications.

General Responsibilities

• Participate in Workday implementation, enhancement, and optimization projects.
• Provide production support and issue resolution.
• Prepare functional and technical design documents.
• Support testing activities, including unit testing, SIT, and UAT.
• Mentor junior team members and provide knowledge transfer sessions.
• Stay current with Workday product updates, particularly Security, Extend, and related technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 8+ years of Workday Security experience.
• 2+ years of Workday Extend development experience.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Domain Security Policies
  • Business Process Security
  • Security Group Configuration
  • Integration Security
  • Workday Tenant Management
• Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services APIs.
• Knowledge of Workday HCM and related modules.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Pro Certification in Security.
• Workday Extend Certification.
• Experience with Workday Orchestrate.
• Experience supporting global Workday environments.
• Knowledge of Workday Financials, Payroll, Recruiting, or Benefits modules.
• Experience with Agile project methodologies.
