Job Description

AI, Solutions Specialist, Workflows, Agentic AI, Artificial Intelligence, Fully Remote

Harris Global are currently on the lookout for an AI Solutions Specialist to join our global client on a permanent basis. This role can be fully remote.

This role will work directly with people performing critical jobs across industrial environments to uncover the problems employees encounter and identify where AI could make their work faster and more accurate. You will then collaborate with AI engineers and technical specialists to turn those insights into effective workflows.

Candidates must have had experience working within industrial, utilities, manufacturing or similar industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers and end users to understand how operational and functional processes are performed in practice.
  • Lead discovery conversations, workshops and on site observations with frontline employees, subject-matter experts and senior stakeholders.
  • Map existing workflows, including the decisions, handovers, information sources, exceptions, bottlenecks and risks involved.
  • Identify high value opportunities where AI, generative AI or agentic AI could improve an existing process or enable a new way of working.
  • Translate customer problems and domain knowledge into clear workflow requirements for AI engineers, architects and technical delivery teams.
  • Help design AI enabled workflows that reflect the realities of the user's role
  • Define what a successful AI output should look like from the customer's perspective.
  • Create evaluation criteria and realistic test scenarios to assess the accuracy, usefulness, reliability and safety of AI-generated outputs.
  • Review workflow outputs with domain experts and challenge anything that would not be trusted in a live operational environment.
  • Support customer demonstrations and explain complex AI capabilities in clear, commercially relevant language.

Skills:

  • Strong professional experience within at least one relevant industry or business function.
  • Domain knowledge gained from working in areas such as aviation, aerospace, defence, energy, utilities, manufacturing, telecoms, field service or industrial operations.
  • Alternatively, deep functional expertise in an area such as Finance, HR, Tax, Procurement, Audit, HSE, IT, Maintenance, Reliability or Asset Management.
  • Practical experience working with AI-enabled products, generative AI, agentic AI, intelligent automation or advanced digital workflows.
  • An understanding of how AI can be incorporated into an end-to-end business process rather than used only to generate standalone content.
  • Experience identifying AI use cases and helping translate business or operational problems into deliverable solutions.
  • Strong workflow-discovery and process-mapping skills, including the ability to uncover exceptions and informal working practices that may not appear in official documentation.
  • Experience working directly with end users and subject-matter experts to understand their roles, problems and decision-making processes.
  • An understanding of AI evaluation, including how to define acceptable outputs, test performance and recognise where human review or additional controls are required.
  • Strong customer-facing, consulting, solutions or pre-sales skills.
  • The ability to explain technical concepts without relying on AI jargon or exaggerated claims.
  • A commercially aware approach, with the ability to connect workflow improvements to cost, productivity, uptime, compliance and risk.
  • Good judgement about where AI can add genuine value and where it would not be appropriate.
