Financial Service Analyst

Position SummaryThe Financial Services Analyst will support investment and portfolio management operations through financial analysis, data management, and reporting. This role requires experience in a portfolio management or investment services environment, strong database querying skills, and the ability to build clear, actionable insights using data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze financial, investment, and portfolio data to support portfolio managers, investment teams, and leadershipDevelop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BIQuery and manage large datasets using SQL or similar database tools to support financial analysis and reporting needsMonitor portfolio performance, asset allocation, and risk metricsPartner with portfolio management, operations, and compliance teams to ensure data accuracy and consistencySupport ad hoc financial analysis, forecasting, and trend analysisAssist in data validation, reconciliation, and quality control across financial systemsDocument data definitions, reporting logic, and analytical methodologiesRequired QualificationsBachelor 's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related fieldExperience working in a portfolio management firm, asset management firm, or financial services environmentStrong database skills with the ability to query data (SQL or similar)Hands-on experience with Tableau and/or Power BISolid understanding of financial statements, investment data, and portfolio metricsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working with portfolio management systems or investment data platformsKnowledge of securities, asset classes, and investment performance reportingExperience integrating data from multiple financial systemsAbility to communicate technical and financial insights to non-technical stakeholdersKey CompetenciesFinancial analysis and reportingData visualization and storytellingDatabase querying and data integrityCollaboration across investment and operations teamsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
