To be successful, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or demonstrate equivalent capability through relevant experience and qualifications. You will bring extensive experience operating and managing control system technology and cloud services (Azure preferred), along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in complex operational environments. Your communication and collaboration skills will allow you to work confidently with both internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve operational outcomes.
This role is suited to a technology professional with a strong primary capability in either platform operations or systems integration, complemented by practical experience across production support, Azure cloud services, vendor managed applications (COTS) and operational service delivery. The ideal candidate combines hands on technical depth with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues that span applications, integrations, infrastructure and external partners. Experience in energy systems, DER/CER platforms or other critical operational environments will be highly regarded.
Success in this role requires the ability to troubleshoot across multiple layers of the technology stack and coordinate effectively with vendors, OEMs, Solar retailers/ installers, cybersecurity, architecture and operational stakeholders to maintain platform stability, performance and scalability.
Experience with Databricks, data pipelines will be beneficial.
Experience within the utilities sector will be highly regarded, particularly exposure to DERMS platforms and CER/DER integration environments. Familiarity with the Common Smart Inverter Profile - Australia (CSIP AUS), including inverter communications, dynamic operating envelopes, and grid interoperability, will be advantageous, as will experience supporting Virtual Power Plant portfolios.
