Job Description

Location: Waterloo, IA Salary: $35.00 USD Hourly - $45.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Waterloo, IA
Duration: 24 Months (Possible Extension)

Key Responsibilities
  • Support manufacturing and distribution operations with a focus on quality, productivity, and efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct time studies and work measurement analyses to support labor standards and incentive-based pay programs.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, and production processes.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance initiatives and facility improvement activities.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and technical procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production challenges.
  • Provide hands-on support on the shop floor, spending approximately 60% of the workday in the production environment.
  • Analyze operational data and prepare reports using Microsoft Office and other business tools.
  • Support manufacturing operations through flexible scheduling as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Preferred 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a production environment.
  • entry level candidates with relevant internships, co-op experience, or project work will also be considered.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, quality systems, tooling, and facility support.
  • Knowledge of time studies, work measurement techniques, and labor standards.
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for approximately 60% of the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs as required.
