The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers safely and efficiently within an intermodal yard. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks. • Position containers and chassis using hostlers and other yard equipment. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is essential. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts and potential weekends. • Basic communication skills for effective teamwork.
