Head of IT

We're partnering with a globally recognised consumer brand to appoint a Head of IT to lead the UK IT function, managing a team of IT professionals while acting as the key technology partner to the UK leadership team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to combine IT operations, service delivery, business partnering, and project leadership within a high‑performing, international organisation.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for delivering a modern, reliable, and secure IT service across the UK business, ensuring alignment with global technology strategy while supporting local business priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of IT Professionals
• Building trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders
• Owning IT service delivery, operational performance and user experience
• Leading local IT projects and deployments while supporting global initiatives
• Managing the UK IT budget, procurement and vendor relationships
• Driving continuous improvement across IT operations, onboarding, service management and security
• Ensuring IT services meet business needs while maintaining compliance with global standards and governance
• Acting as the bridge between the UK business and the wider European IT function

We're Looking For

You’ll likely have experience in:

• Leading an IT Service Desk, IT Operations or Infrastructure team
• Managing people and developing high-performing teams
• ITIL-based service management and continuous improvement
• Delivering IT projects and managing change
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and business leaders
• Managing IT budgets, suppliers and third-party vendors
• Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Windows and Apple environments
• End‑user computing, networking and security best practices
• Experience in an FMCG or Retail environment would be highly advantageous
