Kubernetes Engineer (Local to Woonsocket, RI)

We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade Kubernetes infrastructure on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and operate GKE clusters across the platform.

Manage the Kubernetes Config Connector (KCC) management cluster, including:

Config Connector

Config Sync

Policy Controller

Support and maintain GitHub Actions Runner Controller (ARC) clusters.

Administer External Secrets Operator and related Kubernetes integrations.

Build and manage future tenant workload clusters.

Implement Kubernetes security hardening and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Optimize node pools, cluster performance, and workload scheduling.

Manage GitOps-based application deployments and cluster configurations.

Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high availability.

Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Development teams to improve platform reliability and automation.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Experience with Config Connector (KCC), Config Sync, and Policy Controller.

Expertise with GitOps methodologies and deployment automation.

Experience managing GitHub Actions Runner Controller (ARC).

Knowledge of External Secrets Operator.

Strong understanding of Kubernetes security, RBAC, networking, and cluster hardening.

Experience with workload scheduling, node pool optimization, and production support.

Excellent troubleshooting and automation skills.
