Job Description

Exceptional candidates can effectively speak to:

·        Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience, in software asset management, technology operations, internal customer support, procurement, licensing, vendor management, or related fields, along with 5-7+ years of experience supporting software asset management, software licensing, SaaS administration, renewal coordination, entitlement tracking, procurement coordination, vendor coordination, or internal technology support.

·        Strong experience managing software records across the full asset lifecycle, including request, approval, procurement support, assignment, renewal, reclamation, retirement, and compliance review.

·        Experience tracking and maintaining accurate records for software licenses, subscriptions, entitlements, renewals, service agreements, contracts, application owners, vendors, users, and compliance status.

·        Ability to analyze software asset data, identify discrepancies, resolve entitlement gaps, document findings, recommend improvements, and follow through on corrective actions.

·        Experience supporting software request, renewal, reclamation, and compliance processes, including usage review, license reassignment, inactive user cleanup, and escalation of renewal or compliance risks

·        Ability to work collaboratively and tactfully with vendors, suppliers, internal customers, managers, ITAM, Procurement, Finance, Security, Legal, Workforce, Endpoint, Support Center, Product, application owners, and other cross-functional partners.

·        Strong customer service, written communication, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to update tickets, prepare software asset reports, document processes, and explain license or entitlement information clearly.

·        Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning emerging software asset management practices, automation tools, AI-enabled solutions, CMDB practices, SaaS management platforms, software discovery tools, and industry best practices.

·        Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, follow established procedures, escalate risks or blockers appropriately, travel as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement across software asset management operations.

·        Exposure to, or experience supporting, AI-enabled automation, workflow orchestration, or agentic tools within operational or software asset management processes — including understanding the importance of human oversight, data quality, security, privacy, governance, and measurable business outcomes when these solutions are applied.

·        Experience with hardware asset management activities, including inventory tracking, device assignment, deployment, refresh, return, recovery, reuse, and disposition, is a plus.
