Accounts Payable Team Lead

We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with high-volume AP experience and a proven background leading and developing teams.

Location: San Antonio, TX
Candidates must be local to the San Antonio area.

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

• First 90 days are fully onsite for training
• Upon successfully demonstrating proficiency in the role, the position transitions to a hybrid schedule:
  • 3 days in office
  • 2 days remote

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare account reconciliations
• Research vendor statements, past-due notices, and unresolved account issues
• Perform accounting and administrative support duties related to Accounts Payable
• Schedule, assign, and manage team workloads
• Train team members on existing and new processes
• Review work for accuracy and completeness
• Provide guidance and resolution for complex AP issues, including system-related concerns and urgent payment requests
• Partner with AP leadership to identify and implement process improvements
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
• Minimum 2 years of Team Lead or supervisory experience
• Account reconciliation experience
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong customer service and vendor management experience
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Adobe software is a plus
• T&E (Travel & Expense) experience is a plus
