Data Engineer - EdTech - Remote - SQL/Python - AI/ML

Data Engineer is required by this fast-growing EdTech business as they look to improve their market offering. You will define and build a scalable data platform that powers evidence-based learning products used worldwide. This hands-on, individual contributor role offers high growth potential within a highly capable team collaborating with AI/ML, engineering, and product specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture: Evolve data architecture across products and business systems; build and operate reliable Snowflake pipelines.
• AI/ML Support: Own the metadata store and design/build data products for AI-driven coaching.
• Insight & Enablement: Build modelled datasets, semantic definitions, and reporting platforms to accelerate analysis and support research.
• Governance: Champion data quality, validation, and consent auditing under strict data governance frameworks (UK GDPR, FERPA, COPPA).
• Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally and provide technical leadership, mentoring, or line management to data analysts.

Ideally you can offer experience across -

• Proven data pipeline engineering, data modelling, and orchestration.
• Strong expertise with cloud data platforms, specifically Snowflake.
• Familiarity with building datasets that support machine learning or AI models.
• Commitment to high data hygiene, security, and strict regulatory compliance.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
