Software Engineer

Location - San Jose, CA/Hybrid

Duration - 6 Months

Role Summary:

Technical Expectations:

• General Stack: Generic, solid standard engineering fundamentals.
• Backend: Strong Java, REST APIs, event-driven/asynchronous processing. Higher level requires API-level permission scoping (OAuth/Security).
• Frontend: Strong web development skills; React is preferred, but platform-agnostic if adaptable.
• Mobile: Android-native focus. Kotlin is a strict requirement (codebase is mostly Kotlin).
• Google Stack / Domain: Google Stack experience (Spanner, Protobufs, gRPC, Blaze, Perforce) or Ex-Googlers are strongly preferred for Backend roles to speed up onboarding. Front-End and Android roles are open to all domains.

Engineering Practices:

• Standard version control (Perforce/Git/Blaze).
• Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks.
• Open to/familiar with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Gemini Code Assist, Cloud Code).
