Tester - Passport copy Mandatory

• Position: Senior Tester (HBITS-08-14932)

• Agency: Information Technology Services (ITS)

• Project: SLA Online Payments

• Location: Building 5 Harriman State Campus, Albany, NY 12203 (Hybrid: 50% telecommute allowed)

• Duration: 18 Months (Target Start Date: Sept 15, 2026)

• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Negotiable)

• Interview Format: In-person

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform application testing based on written test scripts, documenting, tracking, and communicating defects utilizing ALM .

• Create, develop, manage, and execute functional and regression test scripts, including generic reusable functions/scripts .

• Collaborate directly with business analysts, program SMEs, and technical staff to build robust test plans/cases for web applications .

• Develop automation scripts using Playwright .

• Maintain user, technical, and project process documentation, providing knowledge transfer to internal unit staff .

Qualifications Summary

• Level: Senior (60–84+ months of independent experience)

• Mandatory Requirements:

  • 72+ Months: Application testing using written test scripts and defect tracking in HP ALM .

  • 72+ Months: Creating, executing, and managing functional/regression test scripts and generic reusable functions .

  • 12+ Months: Programming experience with PL/SQL, JSON, Python, VB, .NET, HTML, or VBScript .

  • 12+ Months: Experience on high-visibility government projects (state or federal), preferably in Licensing .

  • 6+ Months: Automation testing experience using Playwright (script development and execution) .

Security & Compliance Requirements

• Mandatory ITS Security Agreements and Fingerprint-based Background Check .

• Completion of State Mandated Trainings .
