Job Description

We are seeking an experienced System Architect to lead the design and governance of autonomous vehicle and robotic system architectures for our Haulage Business Unit. This role is responsible for defining scalable, reliable, and safety-critical system solutions that align with business objectives and product strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain end-to-end system architecture for autonomous haulage and robotic solutions.
  • Gather, analyze, and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop functional block diagrams, architecture models, and technical specifications.
  • Support safety activities, including Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA).
  • Collaborate with Product, Systems, Safety, and Project teams to deliver integrated hardware and software solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance during development, integration, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, design decisions, and compliance records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in System Architecture or Solution Architecture, preferably within robotics, autonomous vehicles, or industrial/construction equipment.
  • Experience designing complex systems involving hardware-software integration.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture methodologies for safety-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of autonomous vehicle technologies, sensors, control systems, communication protocols, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Profile:

  • Experience with autonomous mobile systems, robotics platforms, or heavy equipment automation.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to leadership, customers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on performance, scalability, safety, and quality.
