Fullstack Developer (Node.js/TypeScript/Angular)
Quick Overview
Job Description
Title : Software Engineer
Location :: Rockville, MD (Hybrid)
Duration : Contract
2 rounds interview (final round on site- in person)
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade enterprise web applications for regulatory technology platforms using object-oriented programming principles, modern JavaScript frameworks, cloud-native architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS), and relational/NoSQL database technologies. This position requires applying specialized knowledge of software engineering, event-driven architecture design, and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices to build scalable, secure, and high-availability systems within an Agile development environment.
## Job Duties and Responsibilities
Design and develop modern, responsive web application front-ends using TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular 16+ framework within a monorepo architecture, applying object-oriented programming principles and component-based design patterns to deliver enterprise-grade regulatory workflow applications
Architect and implement event-driven, serverless backend services and RESTful APIs using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions; design asynchronous messaging workflows using Amazon SQS and SNS to enable loosely coupled, scalable microservice communication
Design, develop, and optimize data persistence layers using relational databases (Oracle Database, Amazon RDS/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Amazon DocumentDB, DynamoDB); develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access patterns for high-volume regulatory data processing
Design and implement cloud-native application architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS) leveraging container orchestration (Amazon ECS), object storage (S3), serverless computing (Lambda), and managed database services (RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB) to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security compliance
Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions; automate build, test, and deployment workflows across development, QA, and production environments; manage application configuration and infrastructure-as-code
Develop comprehensive end-to-end test suites using Playwright with TypeScript; design and execute integration tests and performance tests to validate application functionality, reliability, and scalability under production-equivalent conditions
Participate in Agile/Scrum development ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives; collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and database administrators to deliver iterative solutions

**Education:**
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a directly related field.
**Experience:**
Minimum 4-5 years of progressive experience in enterprise full-stack software development, including demonstrated experience designing and deploying production-grade applications using object-oriented programming principles and database technologies within Agile development frameworks.
**Required Skills and Technologies:**
Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript for full-stack application development
Experience with Angular 16+ framework for modern web application development and monorepo architecture
Expertise in designing and implementing event-driven architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS) including: messaging services (SQS/SNS), serverless computing (AWS Lambda), API Gateway, Step Functions, data storage solutions (S3, RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB), and container orchestration (ECS)
Relational database design and development with Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL (Amazon RDS)
NoSQL database development with Amazon DocumentDB and/or DynamoDB
End-to-end test development using Playwright with TypeScript, including integration and performance testing
CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
Software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices including automated testing frameworks and configuration management
Version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket)
Agile/Scrum iterative development methodology
