What you'll achieveAs a Cloud Engineer you will be required to provide technical expertise, manage deliverables and at times be responsible for coordinating activities such as root cause analysis activities, as well as working closely with the solution architecture group and application teams to design workload packages for deployment to the Dedalus Cloud Platform.
The Dedalus cloud platform provides a secure, automated, and monitored platform for the delivery of our application portfolio as a service to our regional customer base.
You will:- Be responsible for designing, scripting and deploying the cloud based solutions for supporting those applications.
- Ensure all components align to deliver a safe, robust and reliable product to our customers.
- Develop automated solutions to support application onboarding processes.
- Participate in the platform development lifecycle with global stakeholders to expand the capabilities for current and future workloads.
- Provide expertise and guidance around deployment options for high availability and high performance infrastructure.
- Assist with solution testing to develop protocols/patterns or plan for testing revised applications and reviewing of test results.
- Work closely with project architects to recommend and design solutions that align to our business needs, security, and service level requirements.
- Work closely with product teams to enhance automated deployments of our applications in a cloud environment.
- Engage with client business stakeholders to understand the short and long term business implications (people, process, systems, change) of proposed or potential changes.
- Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of the Dedalus Cloud Platform.
- Deliver solutions utilising virtual teams comprised of offshore and onshore resources.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to other stakeholders as required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technology professional.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstratable experience working with Azure and / or AWS including networking.
- Microsoft / AWS Certification in cloud related competencies.
- Experience with programming and infrastructure automation.
Demonstrated skills and experience with:
- At least one of: Microsoft DevOps Pipeline, Terraform, AWS Elastic Beanstalk / CodeDeploy etc.
- High Availability Architectures.
- Automation/configuration management
- Analytical and problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
- Experience with task management tools (e.g., JIRA, etc.).
Relevant Bachelor's degree (i.e. Information Technology major).
- Terraform / Ansible
- SQL and SQL PaaS
- GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or equivalent RedHat Openshift
- Docker/Kubernetes
- Elastic Stack
- Understanding of ITIL processes.
- Experience working with a healthcare vendor or healthcare employer.
