Job Description

Workday HRIS Analyst - Banking

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workday HRIS Analyst to join a leading bank during a major transformation of its HR technology landscape.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the bank-wide implementation of Workday HCM before helping to develop, enhance and support the platform within BAU. This is a hands-on position covering Workday configuration, reporting, testing, deployment and functional support across Core HCM, Payroll, Recruitment and Absence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with HR, Payroll, IT and other stakeholders to deliver effective and sustainable HR technology solutions.
  • Gather requirements and translate business needs into system functionality.
  • Configure, test and deploy new functionality and system improvements across multiple Workday modules.
  • Support the ongoing implementation and rollout of Workday HCM.
  • Review and test Workday releases, assessing their business impact and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and configure appropriate solutions.
  • Develop advanced Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards and self-service analytical tools.
  • Support the production of standard and ad hoc HR management information.
  • Maintain documentation covering requirements, configuration, testing and system processes.
  • Support user access management and ensure appropriate controls are maintained in line with audit requirements.
  • Help maintain data quality, system integrity and compliance with GDPR and data-protection requirements.
  • Provide system demonstrations, training and guidance to business users.

Required Experience

  • Strong hands-on Workday experience gained within an implementation and/or BAU support environment.
  • In-depth experience configuring Workday HCM and related functionality.
  • Advanced Workday Report Writer and dashboard development experience.
  • Strong HR management information and analytical capability.
  • Experience gathering requirements and delivering system improvements from configuration through to testing and deployment.
  • Experience working independently within cross-functional projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced change environment.

Experience configuring Workday integrations from end to end would be highly desirable. Previous exposure to iTrent, Saba or Cornerstone would also be beneficial.
