AWS Cloud Data Migration Engineer - State client Exp MUST - TX locals Only

Role: AWS Cloud Data Migration Engineer (AWS DMS / Oracle to AWS)

Location: Austin, TX Hybrid

Job Description:

• 8+ years of IT experience supporting the design, development, deployment, and delivery of enterprise technology solutions.
• Strong experience migrating Oracle databases to AWS using AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS).
• Hands-on experience with Full Load, Change Data Capture (CDC), and real-time streaming architectures.
• Expertise in AWS infrastructure and networking, including VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, Routing, VPN, and AWS Direct Connect.
• Experience with EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud data integration methodologies.
• Experience with automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with AWS CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail for monitoring and logging.
• Experience developing data migration, cutover, and rollback strategies while minimizing downtime.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud/on-premises environments and legacy system modernization.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Database Specialty certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with experience creating technical designs and migration runbooks.
• Public Sector/State Government experience is preferred.
