Job Description

Nlyte Admin

Location: Dallas TX 75202 (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract

Note:- In-person interview required

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled DCIM Engineer / Nlyte Administrator to own, manage, and optimize our Data Center Infrastructure Management platform. This includes full ownership of Nlyte Asset Optimizer (AO) and Nlyte Energy Optimizer (NEO).

In this role, you will bridge the gap between IT infrastructure and facilities operations—ensuring end-to-end visibility and control over data center assets, capacity, power, and cooling. The ideal candidate will maintain absolute data accuracy, drive workflow automation, and deliver actionable insights to support capacity forecasting and energy sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

NAO: DCIM & Operations Specialist (Nlyte-Focused)

DCIM Platform Administration

Own and administer the Nlyte DCIM platform, maintaining accurate lifecycle records for [X+] assets across [X] data centers from procurement to decommissioning.

Configure rack layouts, power chain mappings, and device templates to improve capacity visibility and deployment efficiency by [X]%.

Leverage DCIM analytics to optimize power utilization effectiveness (PUE) and cooling efficiency.

Infrastructure & Asset Management

Direct physical infrastructure tracking across all racks, PDUs, and structured cabling systems.

Lead MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) workflows, reducing deployment time and minimizing manual errors through workflow automation.

Power & Facilities Integration

Partner with facilities teams to integrate DCIM with Building Management Systems (BMS), enabling real-time monitoring of power and thermal metrics.

Monitor UPS, RPP/PDM, and PDU loads to proactively prevent capacity constraints and structural outages.

Automation & Integration

Integrate the DCIM platform with ITSM tools (Jira/CMDB) to streamline ticketing and asset tracking workflows.

Design automated workflows for rapid device provisioning and decommissioning to maximize operational velocity.

Reporting & Strategy

Generate executive-level reports on capacity utilization, power consumption, and environmental sustainability metrics.

Provide strategic recommendations for data center scaling, optimization, and sustainability initiatives.

NEO: Data Center Power & Capacity Engineer

Power Chain Modeling & Configuration

            Model end-to-end power paths from Utility \(\rightarrow \) UPS \(\rightarrow \) RPP \(\rightarrow \) PDU \(\rightarrow \) Rack \(\rightarrow \) Device.

Configure A/B redundant feeds and complex circuit hierarchies within the DCIM environment.

Load Calculation & Threshold Management

Analyze load propagation through the power chain and evaluate the cascading impact of failures at each infrastructure layer.

Define and tune PDU load calculations, circuit utilization thresholds, and device-level power consumption logic.

Configure nameplate vs. actual load behaviors and establish upstream aggregation logic (Device \(\rightarrow \) Rack \(\rightarrow \) PDU \(\rightarrow \) Upstream).

Capacity Management & Forecasting

Analyze available vs. used capacity across all infrastructure layers to identify stranded capacity and overloaded circuits.

Perform precision rack placement planning and build predictive "what-if" capacity modeling scenarios for future growth.

Thermal & Cooling Analytics

Interpret environmental data from temperature sensors and airflow patterns to optimize containment and cooling.

Collaborate with CRAC/CRAH systems to identify hotspots and remediate inefficient cooling zones.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical data center experience).

Preferred Qualifications

            Official certifications from Nlyte Software.

Experience writing basic SQL queries for custom reporting or database troubleshooting.

Foundational certifications in Data Center Operations (e.g., CDCP, Schneider Electric Data Center Associate) or ITIL frameworks
