Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate technology initiatives for a global organization. The ideal candidate will have strong IT project management experience and the ability to work effectively with German-speaking stakeholders and distributed teams. Fluency in German is mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable conducting meetings, communicating with stakeholders, and managing project activities in German during German business hours. Experience managing SAP-related projects is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end IT projects from planning through delivery and closure.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, resources, and dependencies.
Coordinate cross-functional technical and business teams across multiple locations.
Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Conduct project status meetings and provide regular reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
Work closely with German-speaking business and technical stakeholders.
Coordinate requirements, deliverables, testing, deployment, and project documentation.
Ensure projects remain aligned with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Facilitate communication between business teams, IT teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Support governance, steering committee meetings, and executive-level reporting.
Drive issue resolution and maintain accountability across project workstreams.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of IT Project Management experience.
Proven experience managing complex technology projects.
Fluent German language skills Mandatory.
Strong English communication skills.
Experience working with German-speaking stakeholders and teams.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and governance.
Experience with project planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and reporting.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
SAP Experience Preferred
Previous experience managing SAP projects is strongly preferred.
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives is a plus.
SAP functional knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
Experience coordinating SAP functional, technical, business, and integration teams is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications
PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
Experience working in multinational or European enterprise environments.
Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
Familiarity with Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
Additional Details
Fully remote candidates can be based in USA or Europe.
Must be available to work German business hours.
German fluency is mandatory.
SAP Project Management experience is a strong plus, but not a requirement.
Full-time commitment: 40 hours/week.
Contract duration: 6+ months.
