The Role • Operate specialized equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers. • Load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform essential pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and task management. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is required for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong commitment to workplace safety and excellent attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working outdoors in various weather conditions. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders or stairs on railcars.
