Role:Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
Salary: £40,000£45,000 per annum.
Hours: 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 12 hours between 07:00 - 20:00.
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive engineering team within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining production and packaging equipment, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement projects. The role is varied, hands-on, and offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of machinery and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production and packaging equipment.
- Respond quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults across manufacturing and processing equipment.
- Support machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
- Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within a food production environment.
- Participate in occasional call-outs and overtime when required.
- Current 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (essential).
- Previous experience in an FMCG, food production, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements.
- Experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
- PLC fault-finding experience.
- MEWP licence.
- FLT licence.
- First Aid qualification.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
