Job Description -

Senior Endur Business Analyst

TelSkypeAndF2F
Houston, TX | Onsite | Long-Term Contract-to-Hire LOCAL CANDIDATE AND GENUINE

is looking for a Senior Endur Business Analyst who knows the platform well enough to work directly in it, not just write requirements about what someone else should do.

This role supports an existing OpenLink Endur environment and will also play a major part in an Endur upgrade scheduled to begin later this year. The client needs someone with deep functional Endur experience who can work closely with Trading, Risk, Scheduling, Operations, Accounting, and IT and actually understand how those groups use the system day to day.

The strongest fit will have especially deep experience in P&L and risk, natural gas scheduling and nominations, or both.

You will support the full trade lifecycle, help analyze and improve business processes, troubleshoot complex production issues, and work through everything from deal modeling and templates to market data, settlements, invoicing, reporting, and front-to-back workflow issues.

This is not a high-level BA role where you spend your day documenting requests and handing them to development. You need to be comfortable getting into Endur, understanding what is happening, identifying where the issue really sits, and working with both business and technical teams to get it fixed.

What we need:

  • 8+ years of Endur Business Analyst experience in commodity or energy trading environments
  • Extensive hands-on OpenLink Endur experience, preferably version 10 or newer
  • Strong functional experience with P&L and risk and/or natural gas scheduling and nominations
  • Strong understanding of front-, middle-, and back-office ETRM processes
  • Experience with deal capture, deal modeling, instruments, templates, market data, reference data, settlements, invoicing, and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of North American natural gas markets, including contracts, pricing, transportation, nominations, and scheduling
  • Experience working directly with traders, risk teams, schedulers, operations, accounting, and IT
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing functional solutions, testing, and supporting implementation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience providing Level 2/3 Endur support

Previous experience with an Endur upgrade, implementation, or major enhancement initiative would be a big plus, especially with the upgrade work coming up.

SQL knowledge is helpful, as is experience working in Agile delivery environments.

The person who does well here will understand that an Endur issue rarely stays neatly inside one part of the system. A trade can touch P&L, risk, scheduling, settlements, accounting, and reporting before anyone realizes the original problem started somewhere else entirely.

If you have spent years working hands-on in Endur and can comfortably move between the commercial users and the technical teams without losing either side of the conversation, this should be worth a conversation.
