IT Operations Manager

IT Operations Manager £65,000 DOE Woking Are you an experienced IT Operations Manager looking for an opportunity to lead and shape a high-performing IT function? We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded professional to oversee day-to-day IT operations, manage third-party suppliers and ensure the delivery of secure, reliable and efficient technology services across a growing organisation. This is a varied and hands-on leadership role where you will play a key part in driving operational excellence, improving service delivery and supporting future business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day management of IT operations, infrastructure and support services.<br />Manage external IT support and cyber security partners, ensuring service levels are achieved.<br />Lead and develop the internal IT operations team, creating a customer-focused support culture.<br />Oversee the maintenance, performance and availability of hardware, software and network infrastructure.<br />Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, ensuring IT services meet operational needs.<br />Manage supplier relationships, budgets and service agreements.<br />Support the delivery of IT projects and operational improvements.<br />Oversee onboarding processes, equipment lifecycle management and user access.<br />Ensure cyber security controls, monitoring and incident management processes remain effective.<br />Support data protection activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and governance requirements.<br />Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across IT operations and service delivery.

About You:

Proven experience managing IT operations within a complex business environment.<br />Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, service delivery and supplier management.<br />Experience leading and developing IT support or operations teams.<br />A solid understanding of cyber security, identity and access management, patching and incident response.<br />Knowledge of data protection and operational compliance requirements.<br />Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.<br />A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.<br />Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
