Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst with strong expertise in manual and automation testing to support mission-critical enterprise applications for the Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS). The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of QA experience, strong knowledge of the SDLC and Agile methodologies, and professional working proficiency in English and Spanish.

A key responsibility of this role is Spanish-language application and localization testing. The candidate must be capable of validating Spanish-language screens, labels, messages, notices, correspondence, forms, workflows, and other resident-facing content against approved English requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/testing of enterprise applications.
  • Strong hands-on manual and automation testing experience.
  • Experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Java.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with Spanish localization/multilingual application testing.
  • Strong experience in functional, regression, smoke, integration, SIT, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience with REST API, SOAP Web Services, and Postman.
  • Strong SQL skills for backend data validation.
  • Experience with Salesforce application testing.
  • Experience testing mobile applications and Progressive Web Applications (PWA).
  • Knowledge of JSON/XML validation.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD concepts.
  • Experience using Jira for defect tracking and Agile project management.
  • Strong understanding of test planning, test strategy, test estimation, RTM, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Spanish Testing Responsibilities

  • Validate Spanish-language application functionality and content.
  • Compare Spanish content against approved English requirements.
  • Test Spanish screens, fields, labels, instructions, error messages, alerts, notices, and correspondence.
  • Identify incorrect, incomplete, inconsistent, or contextually inappropriate translations.
  • Develop and execute Spanish-specific test cases and regression scenarios.
  • Document Spanish-language defects clearly for technical and business teams.
  • Validate fixes and perform regression testing following application changes.
  • Ensure English and Spanish application experiences provide consistent business functionality and outcomes.

Local Connecticut candidates are preferred. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Connecticut before onsite work begins and work onsite in Hartford one day per week.
