Case Worker Intensive - Family Support Network

About the role

Based at our Mirrabooka office, this permanent full-time position plays a vital role within our Family Support Network team, working alongside families who have previously been involved with Department of Communities within the Mirrabooka and Joondalup regions.

You will build trusted relationships with children and families, undertake comprehensive assessments, develop tailored parenting support plans, and provide intensive case management to help families achieve greater stability and wellbeing. Through a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, you will empower families to navigate complex systems, access services and strengthen their parenting capacity.

Managing an active caseload, you will work closely with internal and external service providers to ensure children and families receive the support they need. Your work will focus on improving family wellbeing, strengthening protective factors, and reducing the risk of future involvement with child protection services.

About you

You are passionate about helping families through challenging times and enjoy working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and communities. You find purpose in making a real difference, supporting families to overcome barriers, and build on their parenting capacity.

In addition, you will also possess:

  • A relevant bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Community Services or a related discipline is preferred
  • Experience delivering case management and evidence-based interventions within community services, family support or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally responsive practice.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and work both independently and part of a team.
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
