Labor Relations Counsel

The Labor Relations Counsel for the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) provides legal and strategic labor relations support to airline pilots in a mission-driven, safety-focused union environment. Serving within the Labor Relations Department, this role advises union leaders on collective bargaining, contract interpretation, grievances, arbitrations, and regulatory issues affecting pilots and airlines. The Counsel drafts and negotiates collective bargaining agreements, represents pilots in dispute-resolution forums, and analyzes aviation, labor, and employment laws. Working collaboratively with policy, safety, and union leadership, the Counsel helps shape strategies that protect pilot rights, enhance aviation safety, and strengthen the piloting profession across the U.S. and Canada.
