Investment Solutions Architect (Front Office Wealth Management) - Alexander Mann Solutions (Contingent)

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Investment Solutions Architect for a 12 month contract based in London with remote work available (Hybrid).

Purpose of the role:
We are seeking an experienced Investment Solutions Architect to join our architecture and technology function, playing a critical role in shaping and delivering solutions across our front-office investment landscape.

Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, architects, and technology teams, you will translate complex investment and wealth management requirements into scalable, integrated, and innovative technology solutions. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Domain Architects, Technical Architects, and Engineering teams to ensure solutions align with both business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.

What you'll do:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand investment management objectives and translate them into effective technology solutions.
• Design and document end-to-end architectural solutions aligned with business strategy, target architecture, and technology standards.
• Work closely with Domain Architects, Technical Architects, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose.
• Lead architectural thinking across front-office investment initiatives, platform enhancements, and transformation programmes.
• Produce high quality architecture artefacts, solution designs, roadmaps, and supporting governance documentation.
• Ensure seamless integration across investment platforms, business applications, interfaces, and data flows.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions while maintaining architectural integrity and governance standards.
• Represent solution designs and architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, driving resolution and ensuring progress throughout the project lifecycle.
• Challenge existing approaches and introduce innovative solutions that simplify processes, reduce delivery timelines, and improve business outcomes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, helping shape strategic thinking and future-state investment technology capabilities.

The skills you'll need:

• Experience within investment management, wealth management, private banking, or front-office technology environments.
• Proven experience operating in a Solution Architect, Investment Architect, Business Architect, or similar architecture focused role.
• Strong understanding of front-office investment processes, operating models, portfolio management, advisory services, and wealth management technology.
• Hands-on experience with one or more leading investment and wealth management platforms, including, Avaloq, Aladdin, Charles River or SimCorp
• Proven experience integrating multiple systems, platforms, interfaces, and data sources into cohesive business solutions.
• Experience delivering solutions across the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, testing, deployment, and business adoption.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solution design.
• Experience producing architecture documentation, solution blueprints, design artefacts, and governance materials.
