Job Description
Quality Control Analyst
Location: San Antonio, TX(onsite)
Duration: Long term contract
Interview Process

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases and test scripts.
- Review business, technical, functional, and design requirements to identify testing needs.
- Create test cases, test scripts, test data, and execution plans.
- Perform manual testing of web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- Execute test scripts according to established test plans and schedules.
- Identify, document, validate, and track software defects.
- Perform regression testing and verify defect fixes and enhancements.
- Validate application changes across test environments.
- Confirm test environment readiness and connectivity.
- Communicate directly with development teams regarding defects and troubleshooting.
- Participate in project and QA team meetings.
- Track and report testing progress, status, risks, and issues to the QA/QC Team Lead.
- Collaborate with automation engineers when necessary to support effective test strategies.
- Assist with post-implementation validation and support testing.
- Assist with training testers on systems, applications, and QA tools.
- Follow established QA methodologies and processes to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; comparable education or experience may be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial institution or comparable environment.
- At least 2 years of hands-on manual software testing experience.
- Prior experience testing web and desktop applications.
- Experience with banking or financial-services applications strongly preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of HP ALM (Quality Center) experience preferred/required.
- Experience with Waterfall SDLC and structured development, test, and production environments.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and QA methodologies.
- Experience creating and executing test cases independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a changing environment.
Preferred Skills
- Manual testing experience with mobile applications.
- Experience with HP ALM/Quality Center or equivalent test management tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Experience working with internally developed banking applications.
- Experience with online banking, desktop/web applications, or mobile banking applications.
- Strong defect management and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience collaborating with development, business, and QA teams.
