StaffRight Associates is sourcing for a premier Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive supplier to spearhead the search for an accomplished Application Engineer in Greenville, SC. In this high-impact, onsite role, you will lead the integration, performance optimization, and life-cycle deployment of advanced fuel injection solutions.

Acting as the critical technical bridge between testing, manufacturing, quality control, and supply chain networks, you will champion systematic problem-solving and cross-functional synergy. What You’ll Do

  • Architect and advance sophisticated remanufacturing methodologies for Hydraulically Actuated Unit Diesel components and advanced Common Rail Diesel fuel systems.

  • Champion application-level technical engineering execution and delivery for specialized fuel delivery hardware and assigned automotive programs.

  • Analyze product field performance data, laboratory test anomalies, flow audits, and unexpected operational disruptions to ensure pristine system integrity.

  • Drive structured failure investigations and deploy permanent corrective actions to remedy complex powertrain or engineering deviations.

  • Synthesize comprehensive technical literature, formal incident deep-dives, audit evaluations, and routine engineering modification briefs for organizational transparency.

  • Engage actively in recurring operational syncs, manufacturing floor walk-throughs, and program pipeline assessments to align multi-disciplinary milestones.

  • Empower supply chain networks and manufacturing plants with targeted technical insights to safeguard shipping readiness and absolute product reliability.

  • Collaborate closely across testing laboratories, internal quality divisions, and global third-party vendors to fast-track technical issue resolution.

  • Maximize system robustness, component performance, and application stability through continuous, data-driven improvement cycles.

What You Bring

  • Education: Hold a University Bachelor''s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or an identical technical discipline.

  • Experience: Demonstrate 5 to 20 years of verifiable expertise focused specifically within Application Engineering, Product Support, or Validation Engineering.

  • Technical Mastery: Showcase detailed familiarity with the structural design, validation, and production logistics of complex Diesel Fuel Injection Systems and related component lifecycles.

  • Diagnostic Expertise: Apply advanced Root Cause And Corrective Action workflows to successfully diagnose and permanently correct complex automotive system malfunctions.

  • Design Tools: Create and manipulate detailed component models utilizing 3D SolidWorks while managing blueprint production using Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing guidelines.

  • Documentation: Deliver high-caliber structural data through flawless Technical Documentation And Reporting alongside precise Application Level Engineering Analysis.

  • Synergy: Navigate deep Cross Functional Collaboration fluidly when dealing with multi-tiered production suppliers and internal corporate stakeholders.

  • Testing Know-How: Demonstrate a mature working knowledge of Validation Test Setup And Sequencing alongside standard production launches and long-term sustaining engineering protocols.

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Base Salary: $95,000 to $125,000 annual baseline compensation, tailored specifically to your depth of experience.

  • Performance Incentive: 7% annual bonus target.

  • Employment Terms: Full-Time, Direct Hire position.

  • Relocation Assistance: Comprehensive relocation compensation is paid and provided for qualifying candidates moving nationwide.

  • Work Arrangement: Onsite execution in Greenville, SC (No Remote availability).
