Director, Security & Service Operations

About the position

Reporting to the General Manager, Digital, you will establish and lead ARENA's Security & Service Operations function. You will lead two direct reports across security, domain administration and business application support, while providing the direction and technical judgement that ensures ARENA's managed providers operate as part of one connected service environment.

The foundations are already forming, but the service-management capability is still developing. A Change Advisory Board has recently been introduced, while service ownership, operational reporting, service catalogues and ITIL-aligned practices require further maturity.

Employment framework and classification

ARENA employees are engaged under the Australian Renewable Energy Agency Act 2011. They are not the same as Australian Public Service (APS) employees, who are employed under the Public Service Act 1999.

ARENA's employment conditions and classifications may differ from those of APS departments and agencies.

Positions are classified based on the nature and scope of the duties required to be performed. Job level and remuneration are determined with regard to:

• the complexity of the role
• the level of responsibility
• the skills and capabilities require
