Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer

Position Summary
Horizon Global Partners (HgP) is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support a Federal Government customer by enhancing secure software delivery, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations. The successful candidate will work with existing DevSecOps platforms, contributing to Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and security automation in AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and OpenTofu.
• Create and manage Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management and automation.
• Build and enhance GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Support Docker image creation, hardening, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, secrets detection, and policy-as-code into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, namespaces, and RBAC.
• Support AWS cloud infrastructure and automated deployments.
• Perform vulnerability remediation, compliance hardening, and container security scanning.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer reviews, change management, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git workflows and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, secrets scanning, and policy-as-code.
• Strong troubleshooting, scripting, and documentation skills.
