Solutions Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Enterprise Architecture Data & AI Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
We are seeking a Data & AI Engineer to support the development of our Talk-to-Data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong Oracle and SQL skills, Python development experience, and experience in modern AI-enabled data solutions. The role will focus on building and optimizing data pipelines, supporting semantic data capabilities, and contributing to conversational analytics solutions. Knowledge of embeddings, chunking, vector databases, and retrieval-based AI architecture is preferred but can be developed on the job.
Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize data pipelines
• Support semantic data capabilities
• Contribute to conversational analytics solutions
• Build data processing and automation scripts
• Develop APIs and data integration solutions

Requirements:

• BSc-level degree in computer science or equivalent experience in industry
• High level knowledge functional / system / technical architecture
• Broad based IT knowledge (hardware, software, middleware, databases, cloud, AI)
• Strong Oracle Database experience (5+ years)
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization
• Data modeling and relational database design
• Experience with stored procedures, packages, views, and ETL processes
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience building data processing and automation scripts
• Ability to develop APIs and data integration solutions
• Experience/understanding of Embeddings, Chunking, Vector Databases, Semantic Search, RAG concepts
• Excellent analytical, written (technical) and verbal communication

Desired skills:

• Experience with Vector Databases and implementing embedding pipelines
• Experience with PromptQL or similar natural language query platforms
• Understanding of metadata-driven and semantic search architectures
• Ability to stimulate and participate in creative thinking for out-of-the-box solutions
• Ability to effectively communicate, interact with and influence
• Work effectively within a fast-paced, cohesive team
• Willing to learn fast and adapt quickly to change
• Translate complex concepts into multiple architectural views aimed at varying audiences
• Modern application development and deployment (Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery)
• Application development knowledge and experience (Enterprise Applications, distributed services, design, analysis)
• Resolving and influencing outcomes of conflicting objectives and priorities
• Express ideas verbally and in writing to effectively communicate with and influence teammates, technology partners, business leaders and executives

Pay range: $67.29 - $75.29 per hour
