Job Description

Description
  • Process, validate, and settle trade transactions while ensuring accuracy and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Monitor trade confirmations, allocations, and settlements, proactively identifying and resolving breaks or failed trades.
  • Perform reconciliation activities with brokers, custodians, counterparties, and internal systems.
  • Partner with front office, middle office, and external stakeholders to resolve settlement-related issues and minimize operational risk.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, operational efficiency projects, and regulatory/compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on trade settlements experience within financial services, investment banking, or capital markets environments.
  • Experience with Euroclear, SWIFT, Bloomberg, and other industry-standard trade processing platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of DTCC processes, trade lifecycle management, and post-trade operations.
  • Direct experience investigating and resolving settlement breaks, trade exceptions, and reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Experience ensuring timely and accurate settlement of securities transactions across multiple asset classes.
  • Exposure to the Japanese local market and settlement processes is highly preferred; Euroclear experience is a strong advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong reporting/data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume trade operations environment with strict deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, investigative, and exception management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience across operations, technology, and business teams.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
