The Role • Develop and facilitate system requirements, ensuring clear acceptance criteria aligned with program needs. • Produce detailed design documentation, including diagrams, calculations, and technical justifications. • Support Certificate of Design activities by preparing evidence and presenting technical arguments. • Define hardware and software requirements, guiding suppliers for compliant control system solutions. • Oversee system interfaces and deliver verification evidence to meet functional safety standards (IEC 61508/61511). What You'll Need • Relevant engineering degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent), with progression towards professional registration. • Ability to produce clear, structured technical reports across the engineering lifecycle. • Experience applying systems engineering principles in detailed environments. • Proficiency in system calculations, modelling, and evaluation to inform design strategies. • Understanding of control systems, instrumentation theory (e.g., PID), or system architecture concepts. • Familiarity with defence standards is beneficial.
