Job Description

Are you a technically strong IT Support Engineer looking for a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are recruiting for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business supporting approximately 500 users across multiple sites. This role is ideal for someone with strong Microsoft experience who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting infrastructure, and working within a highly process-driven environment. You will be part of a small IT team providing day-to-day support across the business, managing tickets, resolving technical issues, supporting networking infrastructure, and assisting with ongoing IT improvements and projects.

The Role:

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support across the business
  • Managing and supporting the internal helpdesk and ticketing system
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and user issues
  • Supporting Microsoft-based systems and infrastructure
  • Assisting with networking and connectivity issues
  • Reporting, documenting, and maintaining IT records
  • Supporting ongoing IT improvements and projects
  • Occasional travel to additional company sites, including Burnley and London, for emergency support when required Skills & Experience Required:
  • Previous experience within an IT Support / 2nd Line Support role
  • Strong Microsoft knowledge and experience is essential
  • Microsoft certifications would be highly advantageous
  • Networking and Cisco experience would be beneficial
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or process-driven environment would be advantageous
  • Any project management experience would be a bonus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organised with a proactive attitude
  • Full UK driving licence preferred due to occasional travel requirements What’s on Offer:
