CRM Business Analyst

Permanent. Full Time. Hybrid working (minimum of 2 days per week in the office)

Location: This role can be based in any of our UK offices - Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, Warrington

Salary: £41,783 per year for Cardiff, Edinburgh, Warrington. £46,666 per year for London (including London allowance)

About the role

Reporting in to the Supporter Data Manager, the CRM Business Analyst will drive continuous improvement of the CRM solution through business analysis, working collaboratively with the CRM Agile team to optimise efficiency and functionality.

The post-holder will engage with stakeholders and deliver strategic insights into As-Is and To-Be process models, data structures, and interdependencies, translating findings into concise requirements that enhance operational effectiveness.

Some of the main responsibilities of the CRM Business Analyst include:

  • Implement best-practice Business Analysis processes, tools, and methodologies to strengthen capability and drive meaningful change.
  • Critically evaluate risks through the requirements gathering process, collaborating with teams.
  • Extract and analyse data from multiple sources, to develop clear and prioritised business requirements.
  • Ensure the accurate translation of business requirements into actionable specifications, supporting the prioritisation of high-impact initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide key input and support for the continuous improvement of the Agile development process (SCRUM) by actively engaging in all ceremonies.
  • Identify opportunities for how Dynamics365 can enable and improve business processes, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic objectives.
  • Ensure JIRA is regularly updated to reflect accurate progress.

About you

Who we are looking for:

Essential:

  • Significant experience or professional qualification in Business Analysis.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst covering requirements gathering and specification, workshop facilitation, and data mapping.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective requirement gathering through, document review, workshops, 1-1 interviews and user observation.
  • Excellent analytical skills , synthesising data from a wide range of sources to support the development of recommendations, with clear rationale and supporting evidence.
  • Structured approach to data and documentation, with excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficient at delivering impactful business cases, reporting and visualisation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills; able to adapt style to work effectively with different stakeholder groups.
  • Experience of applying industry standard process mapping techniques (e.g. BPMN, UML) to support process re-engineering.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Visio or other process mapping tools.

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of Jira or similar kanban board.
  • Experience of using Confluence (or similar).
  • Knowledge of Dynamics365 entity architecture.
  • Experience of supporting the development of Dynamics365 CRM solutions.
  • Experience of the charity sector.
  • Experience of writing BA technical documentation.
  • Basic SQL skills.
