Manual Tester

 

Looking for an experienced Manual Tester to drive quality assurance and automation framework development for a major state-level public safety system!

 

Location: Hartford, CT

 

Work Arrangement: Remote (Must be local or willing to commute/relocate for occasional in-person meetings)

 

Interview Mode: Webcam or In-Person

 

Shift: Monday–Friday (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM EST)

 

What You’ll Do

• Design, execute, and report on system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

 

• Build, architect, and maintain end-to-end automation testing frameworks.

 

• Integrate automated test suites directly into DevOps pipelines.

 

• Test complex web services and APIs using manual and automated approaches.

 

• Track, log, and resolve defects through the complete test lifecycle.

 

Key Qualifications & Essential Skills

• Experience: 5–7 years in IT Software Testing.

 

• Programming: Core proficiency in C# or Java.

 

• Test Automation: Experience in data-driven automation, GitHub, and Extent Reports.

 

• APIs & XML: Manual/automated testing with SoapUI / Postman and experience with NIEM XML (or other complex XML standards / SOA).

 

• Databases: Ability to write complex SQL queries (MS SQL Server).

 

• Education: BS in Computer Technology or related field.
