Job Title: Forward Deployed Engineer (AI/LLM | Full Stack)

Location: New York, NY / San Francisco, CA  (Hybrid)

Salary: $180K–$210K

Role Overview

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner directly with customers and build production-grade AI solutions that solve real business problems. In this role, you will work at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and customer engagement—designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI workflows. You will own projects end-to-end, from understanding customer requirements to delivering scalable solutions in production while collaborating closely with internal engineering and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with customers to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy production-ready full-stack applications using modern technologies.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features, AI agents, and intelligent workflows into customer environments.
• Build scalable backend services and intuitive frontend experiences.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and customer stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Own the complete software development lifecycle, from discovery and design through deployment and continuous improvement.
• Optimize AI applications through prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and iterative improvements.
• Travel to customer sites (2–3 days per week) to support implementation, collaboration, and solution delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack development experience with Python and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on expertise with React and SQL.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade LLM or Generative AI applications.
• Knowledge of AI agents, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, RAG, and evaluation (Evals).
• Experience developing scalable backend services and APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments and traveling as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar AI frameworks.
• Familiarity with Go programming language.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or Apache Iceberg.
• Background in event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Startup or high-growth company experience.
• Experience working as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Product Engineer, or customer-facing software engineer.
• Proven ability to own projects from concept through production deployment with minimal supervision
