Associate Security Operations Analyst

Job Summary

Associate Security Operations Analyst - an early career role supporting HUB24's cyber security operations by protecting applications, infrastructure, cloud environments and end user devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide security administration, monitoring and operational support across cloud and on premises environments.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents and service requests.
• Proactively identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Support secure operations across networks, applications, servers and end user devices.
• Maintain accurate security documentation, procedures and registers.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and act as an escalation point for security issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in an IT or Security Operations role.
• Exposure to security tools such as CrowdStrike, Qualys, Microsoft Defender or similar.
• Understanding of vulnerability management, security monitoring and risk assessment.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or similar) and Microsoft 365.
• Awareness of security frameworks such as ACSC Essential Eight or ISO27001.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical audiences.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+) are highly regarded.

Additional Information

Occasional after hours work may be required. Participation in an on call escalation roster is required, for which an allowance will be paid.
