The Role • Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, and top/side loaders, to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks according to operational schedules. • Position containers and chassis accurately within the yard to optimize space and workflow. • Conduct pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage container movements and daily tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Must pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screening.
