Job Description

Network Protection Technician / Substation Commissioning Technician | Bremerhaven, Germany | Hybrid We are hiring on behalf of a leading European smart city and multi-technical services group. This globally recognized company is dedicated to shaping the future of energy infrastructure and driving sustainability, playing a key role in the energy transition. The Role • Execute new build and modernization projects for medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations up to 380kV in Northern Germany. • Commission and test electrical installations, ensuring the smooth operation of systems, including those for renewable energy. • Analyze and resolve fault incidents related to protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams to implement improvements. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Conduct precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology using state-of-the-art testing equipment. • Contribute to the overall success of energy transition projects, including grid connection for industrial facilities and renewable energy parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering. • Proven experience or strong affinity with protection/control technology, ideally with prior experience commissioning switchgear according to communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterization software (e.g., Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1) and testing software (e.g., OMICROM TestUniverse) is a plus. • Strong technical aptitude, independence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-player attitude and proficient German language abilities. • Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel regularly (typically Monday-Thursday).
