Job Description

Research Project Manager – RQ Biotechnology

West London | Hybrid, minimum 2 days per week onsite

RQ Biotechnology Ltd (RQ Bio) is a UK-based virology company whose mission is to discover and develop long-acting monoclonal antibodies (LAAbs) against seasonal influenza with the goal of providing immediate, powerful and long-lasting protection against the risk of severe viral disease. We have recently initiated pre-clinical development of our product candidate and are advancing research on a next generation product pipeline in parallel.

Following its recent £85.5 million Series A funding round, RQ Bio is advancing its lead product candidate through preclinical development while progressing a next generation research pipeline.

RQ Bio is now looking for a Research Project Manager to support the planning and delivery of research projects across its antibody pipeline.

The role

  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets and Gantt charts
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks and decision points
  • Coordinate CROs, laboratories, academic collaborators and other external partners
  • Translate complex scientific activity into clear actions and delivery plans
  • Provide concise project updates, including RAG status and budget performance
  • Partner with scientific, finance and business development teams
  • Improve project management tools, processes and working practices

What RQ Bio is looking for

  • At least four years of experience within a scientific environment
  • At least two years of hands-on project management experience
  • Experience coordinating external scientific partners or vendors
  • Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced biotech environment
  • Strong stakeholder communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to combine structured planning with practical delivery

Experience within biotech, biologics, infectious disease, discovery research or programmes progressing towards IND or early clinical development would be particularly valuable. A relevant scientific background and experience using Smartsheet would also be advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to support the development of a lead asset while helping to build a next generation discovery pipeline within an ambitious and well-funded biotechnology company.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to work onsite in West London at least two days per week.
